Rounding Grades
Feature Overview
GradeTransferer has two convenient ways for you to round data before transferring it to your gradebook! Keep reading and watch the video to learn more.
Round Data Now
This feature allows you to round grabbed data (already in your briefcase) to a desired amount of decimal places before you fill into your gradebook. You might find that this feature is especially helpful after using the scaling feature, which will always round the data to two decimal places.
Please note that if you want data automatically rounded while grabbing, instead of using the 'now' toggle after grabbing, you can use the saved rounding feature in the Score Converter.
Grab data
*Optional: Scale grabbed data, which rounds to two decimal places
Click 'hamburger' menu ( '꠵' icon) and enter your desired amount of decimals for rounding
*Selecting -1 decimal places will round the data to the nearest multiple of 10
Click the 'Now' toggle-switch to round the data
A confirmation will show an example of how your grades will be rounded
If you click OK to continue, you will see a summary of the rounded scores that are now in your briefcase
Fill these scores into your next gradebook
Round Data Automatically
This feature allows you to have your grabbed data automatically rounded to a desired amount of decimal places before you fill into your gradebook. This lives in the Advanced Settings, which can be accessed by first clicking the hamburger menu. See below 👇

Then, click on the Score Converter Tab and look for "Round Numbers". Toggle this ON to automatically round data as it is grabbed to the nearest tens, whole number, tenths, or hundredths. If you don't want your data rounded, toggle this setting OFF. You can have rounding enabled while the other Score Conversions are disabled if you want.
Note that if you use the scaling feature, scaled data will always be rounded to two decimal places (hundredths) regardless of this setting. If you want to round data after it has been scaled, use the 'Round Data Now' feature.

Setting the number of decimal places to -1 will result in rounding to the nearest tens.
EXAMPLE: 83.72 ➝ 80
🎯 Remember to always review transfers for accuracy and completion. The GradeTransferer service can significantly speed up the transfer process and cut down on errors. However, just as with manual grading, it is the teacher's responsibility to verify that grades are correct within their gradebook.
